Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, 30 July 2019 – The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) obtained the “ISO 27001/2013” certification for Information Security Management System issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), in line with CBB’s commitment to maintaining the highest quality in information security.

On this occasion, the ISO certification was presented to the Executive Director of Corporate Services at the CBB, Mr. Yousif Rashid Al Fadhel, in the presence of the Governor and the IT Directorate team.

ISO 27001 is considered as an ideal framework for information security and protection controls and the CBB’s IT infrastructure.

Mr. Al Maraj expressed his praise for this achievement and the team that worked on the certification. He further praised the Bahraini competencies, in particular the IT Directorate staff, who complement the efforts of other CBB staff in supervising the financial sector.
